How to mix your haunted soundscape
1. Pick your layers
Toggle rainy night, wind, campfire, ghost whisper, forest night and bat cave — each one an infinitely looped bed built from filtered noise.
2. Mix the volumes
Use each layer's slider to balance the soundscape, then adjust the master volume to taste.
3. Press play & go haunted
Hit the big play button and leave it running behind your stream, video call, study session or bedtime wind-down.
Frequently asked questions
Are these real recordings of haunted places?
No — and that is the point. Every bed is algorithmically synthesized from filtered noise, oscillators and LFOs, so it is 100% royalty-free, contains no copyrighted field recordings, and runs entirely offline in your browser.
Will the sound stop after a few minutes?
No. The underlying noise buffers loop seamlessly, and random elements like fire pops, crickets and bat swishes are rescheduled on a timer, so the ambience can play for hours without repetition becoming obvious.
Can I use this in my Twitch stream?
Yes. Because the audio is locally synthesized and royalty-free, you can play it behind your stream, podcast or video without muting claims. Keep the master volume low so your voice stays clear.
Why does nothing play when I press play?
Browsers require a user gesture before audio starts, and our page uses that first click to unlock the Web Audio context. Make sure at least one layer is toggled on and the master volume slider is above zero.
