Why do costume sizes run small?
Many Halloween costumes are sized for theatrical layering and decorative trim, so they often cut slimmer than everyday clothes. When you are between two sizes, size up — you can take in a loose costume, but you cannot stretch a tight one.
Are these conversions exact?
They are industry-average approximations, not a guarantee. Different brands vary by up to a full size, especially for shoes and kids wear. Always check the seller's own size chart before ordering.
How do I measure CM correctly?
For tops measure chest circumference under the arms; for bottoms measure natural waist; for shoes measure heel-to-toe length on a wall chart. Add about 1 cm of ease to be comfortable.
