What is zalgo text, exactly?
Zalgo (or glitch) text looks broken because each base letter carries invisible Unicode combining diacritics stacked on top of it. It renders fine on any platform but looks disturbing — which is exactly why horror, goth and anime communities adopted it. Our generator uses only standard combining marks, so it copies and pastes cleanly everywhere.
Will heavy zalgo break my bio or username?
Heavy mode stacks up to ten marks per letter, which some platforms count as multiple characters. If a username gets rejected, drop to Light — two stacked marks still read as glitched while staying inside most character limits.
Is this safe to copy into messages?
Yes. It is pure Unicode text — no images, no scripts, no tracking. It works in Instagram bios, TikTok nicknames, X names, Discord and WhatsApp. Note that very heavy strings can make screen readers stutter, so keep them decorative, not essential.
